I’ve had this plan for a long time to make an EP entirely using Open Source software only… a great tool to use that I’ve found is UbuntuStudio. As far as linux distributions go its one of the easiest (if not THE easiest) to get around and use.
Probably will use ARDOUR which is kinda like Cubase/ProTools/Logic. UbuntuStudio also caters to Video and Graphics apps, not just Audio… pretty badass interface as well.
